Role Summary:
Eclave is looking for dynamic and result-oriented Study Abroad Counsellors to guide and mentor students in realizing their international education dreams. As a key player in a growing startup, you will actively counsel students, provide insights on global education options, and manage their application process, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for them.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Counseling & Guidance:
- Provide personalized counseling sessions to students and parents, helping them select appropriate universities, courses, and countries based on their career aspirations.
- Assess students’ academic qualifications, skills, and interests to recommend suitable study abroad programs.
- Educate students about global education systems, application procedures, scholarships, and visa requirements.
- Application Management:
- Assist students with application forms, SOPs, and other documentation required by universities.
- Ensure timely submission of applications and act as a point of contact between students and partner universities.
- Guide students through the visa application process and coordinate with third-party service providers when needed.
- Lead Management:
- Follow up on leads generated through various marketing campaigns and convert inquiries into enrollments.
- Maintain accurate records of student profiles, applications, and interactions using CRM tools.
- Networking & Outreach:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, educational institutions, and universities.
- Represent Eclave at education fairs, webinars, and other events to promote its services.
- Conduct workshops and seminars to educate students about study abroad opportunities.
- Market Research & Feedback:
- Stay updated on global education trends, admission cycles, and changes in visa regulations.
- Gather feedback from students to enhance counseling services and refine processes.
Skill Set Required
- Counseling Skills: Exceptional ability to connect with students and understand their goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple students and applications simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and virtual communication platforms (Zoom, Teams).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking to address student queries and provide effective solutions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Empathetic, patient, and approachable demeanor to build trust and rapport with clients.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
- Certification in Counseling or Student Mentorship is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- 0–3 years of experience in academic counseling, career guidance, or study abroad consulting.
- Fresh graduates with exceptional communication and mentoring skills are welcome to apply.

- Proactive, goal-driven, and adaptable to the dynamic environment of a startup.
- Availability:
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to accommodate student needs.
